The 28th ophthalmology Conference of the Chinese Medical Association ended successfully
This year is the 75th anniversary of the founding of New China. In this special year, on September 8, the 28th Academic Conference of the Chinese Medical Association, which lasted four days, came to a successful end. 15,000 experts and representatives from home and abroad gathered in Wuhan to contribute wisdom to the road of Chinese modernization and high-quality development of ophthalmology in China and contribute to the cause of eye health in the human health community.
The conference takes the future as the goal, takes development as the main line, gathers the academic wisdom of eye health at home and abroad, and sets a total of 18 venues; More than 500 special speakers were invited, 10 conference reports, more than 500 special speeches, and nearly 200 continuing education lectures were set up; A total of 14,000 paper submissions have been received, of which more than 1,000 paper speeches have been arranged. Professor Yao Ke, president of the conference, executive director of the Chinese Medical Association and chairman of the Ophthalmology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, delivered a speech at the closing ceremony. He said that the conference has been widely recognized by experts at home and abroad, and is an academic exchange event with high quality and fruitful results. He expressed his sincere thanks to the meticulous organization and selfless dedication of the team of the Chinese Medical Association and the Ophthalmology Branch, and to the organizers of the conference, Hubei Medical Association and Hubei Ophthalmology Society, for their hard work and comprehensive efforts. He believes that with the joint efforts of ophthalmology workers across the country, China’s ophthalmology industry will be able to more perceptively see the future development trend, will be able to more deeply promote the integration of production, research and medical development, and further promote the high-quality development of national and global eye health.
At the closing ceremony, Professor Yiu Ke of Cataract and Refractive Surgery Group, Professor He Mingguang of Prevention of Blindness and Epidemiology Group, Professor Shi Wai-wan of Corneology Group, Professor Liu Xu-yang of Glaucoma Group, Professor Wei Shi-fai of Neuro-ophthalmology Group, Professor Li Shi-ying of Visual Physiology Group, Professor Li Yue-ping of squint and Pediatric Ophthalmology Group, Professor Chen Chih-ching of ophthalmic Pathology Group, Professor Xu Xun of Ophthalmic fundus Disease Group, Professor Wu Xin-yi of Ocular Immunology Group Professor Hu Liang of Optometry Group, Professor Wang Zhijun of Ocular Trauma Group and Professor Jia Renbing of Ophthalmology Group reviewed a series of achievements made by the Group in the past two years on behalf of the group, chaired by Professor Zhao Mingwei, Deputy Secretary-General of the Branch of Ophthalmology.
In the past 75 years, with the joint efforts of all ophthalmology workers, China’s ophthalmology has gradually developed from significantly lagging behind the world’s advanced level to leading the world in some fields. The Chinese Medical Association Academic Congress of Ophthalmology has witnessed the brilliant development of Chinese ophthalmology, witnessed the growth of generations of ophthalmology workers, and gradually developed into one of the largest and highest quality academic conferences in China, and built a high-standard and high-quality communication platform for ophthalmology workers across the country. National ophthalmology workers here “insight into the future”, seeking “integrated development”, I believe that a more brilliant next journey is coming!
