Motorized Fiber Polarization Controllers

Principle : Motorized fiber polarization controller generates stress birefringence by winding the optical fiber around two or three circular disks, thereby forming independent waveplates and altering the polarization state of light transmitted in a single-mode fiber. The fast axis of the optical fiber lies in the plane of the winding disk, so the polarization state of any input light can be adjusted by rotating the paddles.



Functional Features

Enables conversion between linear, circular and elliptical polarization states.

Operates over the entire fiber bandwidth range.

Empty controller: For Ø900 µm jacketed FC/PC or FC/APC fiber  jumpers.

Pre-fiberized controller: Equipped with optical fibers (2.0 mm narrow key) terminated with FC/PC or FC/APC connectors.

Three winding disk diameters available:
Three-paddle controller: Ø1.06 inches or Ø2.2 inches
Two-paddle controller: Ø0.71 inches

facilitating users to insert single-mode fibers with Ø900 µm jackets or FC/PC/FC/APC fiber jumpers.
